Abdul Haleem: After these, We sent Moses to Pharaoh and his leading supporters with Our signs, but they rejected them. See the fate of those who used to spread corruption. Maka perhatikanlah bagaimana kesudahan orang-orang yang berbuat kerosakan. I am a Messenger from the Lord of the universe. Pickthall: Moses said: O Pharaoh! I am a messenger from the Lord of the Worlds, Dr. Sesungguhnya aku ini adalah seorang Rasul dari Tuhan sekalian alam.
I have come to you with clear evidence from your Lord, so send with me the Children of Israel. Now have I come unto you people , from your Lord, with a clear Sign : So let the Children of Israel depart along with me. I have come to you with a clear sign of having been sent from your Lord. So let the Children of Israel go with me. Indeed I have come unto you from your Lord with a clear proof. So let the Children of Israel depart along with me. I come unto you lords of Egypt with a clear proof from your Lord.
Ghali: Truly worthy to say nothing regarding Allah except the truth. I have already come to you with a supremely evident sign from your Lord, so send forth with me the Seeds Or: sons of. Abdul Haleem: duty-bound to say nothing about God but the truth, and I have brought you a clear sign from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with me. Yusuf Ali: Then Moses threw his rod, and behold! Abul Ala Maududi: Thereupon Moses threw his rod, and suddenly it was a veritable serpent. Muhsin Khan: Then [Musa Moses ] threw his stick and behold! Pickthall: Then he flung down his staff and lo! Ghali: So he cast his staff, and only then was it an evident serpent; Abdul Haleem: So Moses threw his staff and- lo and behold! Yusuf Ali: And he drew out his hand, and behold! Abul Ala Maududi: Then he drew out his hand, and it appeared luminous to all beholders.
Muhsin Khan: And he drew out his hand, and behold! Pickthall: And he drew forth his hand from his bosom , and lo! Ghali: And he drew out his hand, and only then was it white to the on-lookers. Abdul Haleem: and then he pulled out his hand and- lo and behold!
Abdul Haleem: Is it not clear to those who inherit the land from former generations that We can punish them too for their sins if We will? And seal up their hearts so that they cannot hear? And certainly did their messengers come to them with clear proofs, but they were not to believe in that which they had denied before. Thus does Allah seal over the hearts of the disbelievers. Yusuf Ali: Such were the towns whose story We thus relate unto thee: There came indeed to them their messengers with clear signs : But they would not believe what they had rejected before. Thus doth Allah seal up the hearts of those who reject faith. Abul Ala Maududi: To those [earlier] communities - some of whose stories We relate to you - there had indeed come Messengers with clear proofs, but they would not believe what they had once rejected as false. Thus it is that Allah seals the hearts of those who deny the truth. And there came indeed to them their Messengers with clear proofs, but they were not such as to believe in that which they had rejected before. Thus Allah does seal up the hearts of the disbelievers from each and every kind of religious guidance. Pickthall: Such were the townships. We relate some tidings of them unto thee Muhammad. Thus doth Allah print upon the hearts of disbelievers that they hear not. Ghali: Such were the towns We narrate some tidings of them to you, and indeed their Messengers already came to them with the supremely evident signs.
